I don't want to be your sidekick, but I'll be your partner in museum desecration. And any other interesting adventures you come up with that toe the line of legal.
( not all that soon — it barely takes 45 minutes to run her errands; to buy the nicest bottle of wine her local corner store has to offer (as a nice gesture, even if the bottle of 14 hands is appallingly bland and, like, $12) and a few cheap dinosaur figures from the bucket up by the register. it really is an all purpose shop.
that transaction takes longer than it does for her to pick the abysmal locks on his windows. and for the next hour selina just makes herself comfortable on the expansive sofa set, flicking through late night television until eventually settling on a fascinating documentary about lions. )
[It's a reasonable enough amount of time. Less, and Bruce would wonder what's got Selina agitated. More, and he'd have to start checking the police scanner to see if she's somehow gotten herself in trouble. He opens the door to the penthouse just in time to be greeted by a loud, if slightly tinny-sounding animal roar. He makes a mental note to have the entertainment center's sound system recalibrated, then heads for the figure lit by the TV's glow.
Bruce lowers himself to sit beside her, picking up the wine bottle on the table and examining it.] Interesting. Should I get glasses, or are we just drinking from the bottle?
